“Lazarus, come out!” Jesus called Lazarus out of the tomb, and the dead came to life. The Eternal Love invited, and the man responded in trust. Blessed are those who believe in the Word of God; they will come to know its ultimate creative power, the power of grace!
We are baptized Christians; we are children of God. But do we surrender to God and allow God’s grace to work in us so we can become new? Our inner soul is crying for freedom. We want to be free from vices, passions, and sins. We want to be delivered from our anxieties. If only we are brave enough to invite God to take over our life.
Jesus says, not just to Martha, but to all of us: “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” That loving, crying voice is still echoing throughout the universe—“Come out!” May we all respond to the Holy Spirit and come out—to a new life in Christ.
